Front Cover Ideas

The reason i have choose these photos as my front cover ideas is because they're all suitable sizes, they fill up the majority of the page but they also leave enough space for the Title and any
cover lines. The lightning is perfect, they aren't too bright or too dark so the person in the image is easy to see. Also the angle of each photograph is appopriate for my magazine as in most of the pictures the person is looking directly at the character which gives direct mode of address, making the reader feel more engaged with the star, this may encourage my target audience to buy my magazine because if the star had direct eye contact with the audience then straight away the magazine becomes a lot more appealing to the audience, whereas if the star was looking away from the character, then the reader may have negatives thoughts about the magazine, making them feel less engaged, and therefore less encouraged to buy the magazine. Lastly, the background and the clothing are both suitable for my magazine because, the background is white so when the writing is added it will make it look a lot more professional and also the person in my photos is wearing basic colours (black, navy & white) which compliments the rest of the features of the magazine (e.g. the title / cover lines in more bold vibrant colours such as pink purple yellow/green and orange which will stand out amoungst the simple black and white background and any smaller bits of text.

Although both titles 'Unique' and 'Indiviual' are as popular as one another. I am going to use 'Individual' as my title because I think it suits the genre and sub-genre. It is also appropriate for my target audience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Because the most liked band is The Saturdays I am going to use these in my music magazine. I think this band is most appropriate for the age group of my target audience.

 

Although those who have complete my survey said they would like to see the colours Pink and Purple in this publication, I may include all of the following as my target audience is females aged 16-22, so therefore Orange and Yellow seem like colours that older females would like.

The Majority of people have said that they would like to see discounts in music magazines. Because my magazines genre is pop & fashion, my magazine will include discounts or giveaways on items that relate to music for example, CD's & Albums (vouchers for HMV / Apple Store) and also discounts in clothes stores (e.g. vouchers for Topshop, River Island and New look).

 

From my research I can see that the majority of people like to see things such as Interviews,  Upcoming artists and Top 10 Singles featured in music magazines. Therefore I am going to use these features in my magazine.

 

From this question we can see that the majority of teenagers like to watch Rom-Coms.

Because I would like to include multi-media platforms in my music/fashion magazine, I may include film reviews of the most popular Rom-Coms.

 

As we can see from this question most teenagers enjoy reading Adventure Books, therefore I may include book reviews of some of the best Adventure Books in stores for teenagers of my own age and slightly older.

 

This question shows us that Reality TV is the most popular type of TV programme. Because of this in my magazine I may include competitions to give my reader the chance to apply to audition to perform live on one of the following programmes; The X Factor, The Voice or American Idol.

 

I asked who is your biggest celebrity crush to give me an idea who is the most popular male celebrity out there, in order to help me choose what sort of photographs to include on the contents of my magazine or as free posters that you can take out to stick around your bedroom wall if you're a Channing Tatum lover.

Summer Photos - Beyonce. Clothes, Make-up, Hair, Nails, Shoes, Jewellery and Perfume

I am going to use these photos in my magazine as they fit with the genre of my magazine (Pop Music &Fashion) and also the housestyle of my magazine (black, white, purple, pink, yellow/green, orange).

I am going to include photos of concerts i have been to (Beyonce & Jessie J -these are both famous pop artists) and beauty/fashion items such as clothing, hair products and hair styles, jewellery, makeup, nails and fragrances). I have also taken a photo of my Hifi System and a Justin Timberlake CD as Justin Timberlake is another very popular pop artist, and i may use these as giveaways or for compeitions to win these items.
